Today was both Canberra day and Pie Day so we celebrated by getting up at stupid o'clock to see the hot air balloons and then driving for 3.5 hours to get a pie from Gum Tree pies in Wodonga. Partly motivated by them not turning up at the Farmers' Market and having a visitor from Canada who wanted one of their pies. It did mean we got to try the sweet things they don't sell at the markets and Jenny and James had some Fairy Floss Gelato from a nearby ice cream place ( apparently it tastes of butter)

A good day but very long.
